What does “khublei” mean?

“Khublei” is a Khasi word that is used to mean a number of important phrases: “hello,” “goodbye,” “God bless,” etc. When I created this blog, it was the only Khasi word that I knew, as most of my correspondence with the Unitarian Union of Northeast India would end with “khublei” before the signature. I thought it was appropriate for the name of this blog because I am so thankful that you are visiting and learning about the important work we are doing in the Khasi Hills. Khublei.
